At the beginning of this month, we informed you about the agreement in principle reached by the joint ground unions on the Back on Track (BoT) mobility agreements. You can read the main points of this agreement in our newsletter of 5 August.
In this post, we want to share the final texts with you and ask you for your opinion. After all, an agreement in principle only becomes a final agreement after you have cast your vote.
We present this result to you with a positive voting advice and call on everyone to cast his or her vote. That is really important, even if you are not directly affected by this restructuring. After September 8, 2025, we will share the results with you as soon as possible.
So much for this message.

Why mobility agreements?
At the end of last year, KLM announced a major restructuring. As a result, a substantial number of jobs would disappear within the land domain. For the absorption of the social consequences, there is CLA Annex 15. However, this appendix no longer complies with the applicable laws and regulations on a number of important points. That is why the ground unions have entered into consultations with KLM, as has often happened in the past.No forced redundancies
For De Unie an important starting point was that there would be no forced redundancies in the context of BoT. In addition to good guidance to other work, there also had to be sufficient room for voluntary departure with appropriate compensation. At the beginning of this month, De Unie, together with the 4 other ground unions, reached an agreement with KLM. And that is good news, because it is important that the employees involved now receive clarity quicklyVote
You can read the final text of the BoT mobility agreements via this link . Now that the texts are final, it’s time to cast your vote. Cast your vote here via the digital ballot. Voting is open until Monday, September 8, 2025.Positive voting advice
As indicated earlier, we are satisfied with the result. It is not for nothing that we spoke of an agreement in principle. Our demand (because that’s what we can call it) of no forced redundancies has been met. For De Unie this point was non-negotiable. Moreover, the amount of the compensation is considerably better than with previous voluntary severance schemes. And we think that’s more than justified! We present this result to you with a positive voting advice and call on everyone to cast his or her vote. That is really important, even if you are not directly affected by this restructuring. After September 8, 2025, we will share the results with you as soon as possible.
