On 1 July 2023, the Future Pensions Act (WTP) entered into force. We have already informed you about this in previous newsletters. KLM’s pension scheme must therefore also be adapted to the requirements of the new legislation. This mainly concerns the characteristics of the scheme, the survivor’s pension, the amount of the premium, compensation agreements and the ‘entry’ of rights that have already been accrued. The consultations on this have been held over the past two years. The result of all these discussions has been laid down in the so-called Transition Plan. In this newsletter we want to inform you further about this and also ask your opinion.
Not everyone is well versed in pensions. But pension is an important employment condition. That is why a short summary of the Transition Plan is available. You can find it here. The full text of the Transition Plan can be found here.
Explanation
More information about the new scheme can also be found here on the website of the KLM General Pension Fund. In addition, next Tuesday, March 26, we are organizing a digital information session for our members and they can ask questions via email.
Vote
KLM currently has a good pension scheme. Although this pension scheme is really changing due to the new legislation, we have tried to agree on a scheme that is as similar as possible with these agreements. The balance between the various interests of participants was also considered.
Voting is open until Monday, April 1, 2024 . All voters have received a personal message for this.
Do you also want to vote or attend the meeting on March 26? Then become a member quickly! You can do that from as little as €0 per month!
The new pension scheme is an important employment condition.
So don’t forget to vote!
