After the collective labor agreement negotiations at KLM Grond stalled, we as a Union put out a short poll. The question was simple: have we talked to KLM long enough about a new collective labor agreement, or should we talk further? Until today, everyone could respond. In this message we share the results.
The result
The outcome is as follows:
- 1% – No opinion
- 59% – We’ve talked long enough
- 40% – We have to keep talking
What is striking is that many employees who responded also gave an explanation.
The group that thinks we have talked long enough is especially angry about the zero line, the remuneration of the management, the inequality between the domains (such as IPB) and the fact that everything takes far too long.
With the group that thinks we should keep talking, we see that the disappointment is also there. But they are a bit more cautious about taking action, especially as long as there is still consultation in other areas. From this group, however, there is a clear call to the management to come to their senses.
What now?
The results show that there are different opinions – and that makes sense. There is frustration, but also hesitation.
Of course we will share the results with KLM. In addition, together with our executives, we will take a good look at what the next step could be. You will hear from us soon.
Sincerely,
Huug Brinkers
